The View From Here

Hard to believe that another year has come and gone. I've come a long way since starting off in January working with Chuck on song ideas at Meteor Sound in Rockaway Beach. The highlights this year are easy to pick out. It's been great to meet and start working with guitarist Joe Bognanno. He's quickly found his niche in the material and we're looking forward to the new batch of songs that are on the horizon. I also started working with my good friend and musical mentor of sorts, Leo McInnis in Boston. We've written some incredible music over the years and i'm grateful to be back at it. Richie Latoni stepped into the lineup at a time when we needed a drummer and has been very reliable each show.

All in all, it's been a year of restructuring on every level and we have high hopes for all the ground we need to cover in 2009. First on the agenda is waiting to discover if we've been accepted to South By Southwest 2009 in Austin Texas this April. It's notoriously difficult to get in without proper management and representation, but that hasn't stopped us from giving it a shot. All that's left for us is to wait eagerly by our email box for the news to arrive. It's sort of like getting into college, only WAY more important.

In the meantime, there are resolutions to write and champagne to be chilled.

See you next year.
